INSTALLATION CEREMONY 2025–26 (23/04/2025)

With hearts full of hope and pride, the corridors of St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura, echoed with a spirit of celebration and solemnity as the Installation Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26 was held on 23rd April 2025.
The ceremony began with a warm and insightful introduction by Mrs. Sheeba Varghese, who addressed the students and esteemed parents present. She eloquently explained the significance of the Installation Ceremony, highlighting how it marks the formal beginning of leadership responsibilities for the newly elected student council.
The atmosphere was filled with honour as the Chief Guest, Sister Provincial Sr. Doris, and Sister Principal, Sr. M. Yvette, were florally welcomed by the newly elected office bearers, symbolizing gratitude and reverence.
Next, the sacred Lighting of the Lamp took place — a symbol of knowledge, purity, and the divine light that guides. Participating in this auspicious ritual were Sister Provincial Sr. Doris, Sister Principal Sr. M. Yvette, Mrs. Anuradha Yadav, Mr. Amit Shrivastava (parent), Mrs. Aarti Bhagya (parent), and Poojita, representing the student leaders.
This was followed by the hoisting of the School Flag, led by Sister Provincial Sr. Doris and Sister Principal Sr. Yvette, instilling a sense of pride and belonging among the students. As the flag fluttered high, the School Anthem was sung in unison — a true celebration of the spirit of St Marys family.
The ceremony then moved into a moment of spiritual reflection with scripture readings from two sacred texts:

From the Bhagavad Gita, read by Mrs. Jaya Banerjee
These readings emphasized the values of harmony, righteousness, and dedication — the foundations of true leadership.

Once all the leaders were installed, every house member took a collective pledge, to maintain discipline, uphold the values of the school, and work unitedly under the leadership of the council to achieve excellence in every sphere.
The school choir and students then joined voices to sing the moving hymn “On This House”, which beautifully echoed the bond and pride shared by the St. Mary’s family.
A heartfelt Concluding Prayer was led by Mrs. Alphonsa Sonu, accompanied by some newly elected office bearers, seeking blessings for the days ahead.
Then came the much-anticipated Concluding Address by Sister Provincial Sr. Doris, who graciously congratulated the new council and shared words of wisdom. She reminded them of the great responsibility leadership brings — the need for discipline, compassion, and courage in their roles.
The event culminated with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Head Girl, Shambhavi Shrivastava, expressing gratitude to the school management, faculty, parents, and all present for making the day so memorable.
With pride swelling in every heart, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, a fitting end to a morning of inspiration, grace, and commitment.

On 17 April 2025, Thursday, the Fabric and Glass painting was held from classes VI to VIII in which students participated with zeal and enthusiasm. They showed their creativity at their best and showcased their skill beautifully

On 5.04.2025 (Saturday) Gift Wrapping activity was conducted for Class VI to VIII.
All the students participated with sheer enthusiasm and zeal. They decorated their gifts in a creative manner showcasing their talent.
Educational Visit to Geological Survey of India (Western Region)
On the occasion of the 175th Foundation Day on March 4, 2025, St. Mary Convent Senior Secondary School had the privilege of visiting the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Western Region. A group of 44 students from Classes 9 and 11, accompanied by five teacher escorts – Mr. Anil Sharma, Mr. Mukesh Dharamdasani, Mr. Bibin Abraham, Mrs. Alphonsa Sonu, and Mrs. Neetika Gehlot embarked on this educational excursion.
We arrived at the venue at 10:00 AM, where we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Satya Pal, a Geo-Scientist. The visit began with an interactive tour of the GSI Museum, where expert geoscientists introduced the students to a fascinating collection of geological specimens. They explained various geological phenomena and aspects of Earth science, sparking curiosity among the students. The interactive session also included a question-and-answer round, where students eagerly participated and engaged in insightful discussions.
Following the museum visit, we proceeded to the GSI auditorium, where refreshments were provided, and an exciting quiz competition on Geology and Earth Science was organized. Our students enthusiastically took part in the competition, showcasing their knowledge and winning prizes.
Later, we were taken outdoors for a live demonstration of geological instruments used in mining and exploration. The students were particularly intrigued by the technology and processes involved in extracting metal ores from the Earth. The experts patiently addressed their queries, making the session highly informative and engaging.
One of the most remarkable parts of the visit was the tour of GSI’s prized Rock Garden, where students learned about the diverse rock formations found across Rajasthan. The geoscientists also highlighted the importance of geology as a career, explaining the various educational pathways and opportunities in this dynamic field.
The visit concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ridhi and Shambhavi (Class XI Science), expressing gratitude to the GSI team for their valuable time and knowledge. The trip was not just an academic experience but also an inspiration for students to explore the world of geosciences.

PICNIC DAY IN SCHOOL (19/02/2025)
School picnic day is a vibrant and exciting event when students get to break free from the classroom routine spending the day outdoors with friends and teachers filled with laughter, games and delicious food.
Teachers and classmates creating lasting memories together. Our school organised picnic for Classes Nursery to H. K. G on 19th February. Our school allowed students and teachers to enjoy a day of fun activities ,games, food and relaxation within the familiar School environment .We enjoyed music ,dancing ,outdoor games ,funny kids movies and shared meals all while staying on School property.
Picnic play a pivotal role in the personal development of students outside the classrooms four walls, they learn to be more independent, develop leadership skills, social bonding and team work. We all created many positive memories together.
Inter-House Final Football Match: Shastri House vs. Pratap House (18/02/2025)
St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School witnessed an exhilarating final inter-house football match on February 18, 2025, where the teams of Shastri House and Pratap House clashed on the field in a fierce battle for victory. The event, held under the guidance of Coach Deepak Verma, was filled with enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship.
The match kicked off with both teams displaying remarkable coordination and skill. Shastri House took an early lead when Pratap House conceded an unfortunate own goal, putting Shastri House ahead. Despite the setback, Pratap House fought hard to regain control, but Shastri House maintained strong defense and counter-attacks. The first half ended with Shastri House leading 1-0.
As the second half began, Pratap House intensified their efforts, showing exceptional teamwork and strategy. Their perseverance paid off when Shresth Pushkarna scored a spectacular goal, extending Shastri House’s lead to 2-0. The competition grew more intense as Pratap House made several attempts to break through, but Shastri House’s solid defense held firm.
With the final whistle, Shastri House secured a well-earned 2-0 victory, emerging as the champions of the tournament. The crowd erupted in cheers as the players rejoiced in their hard-earned win.
The match was not just about winning or losing but about teamwork, resilience, and the spirit of fair play. Coach Deepak Verma applauded both teams for their dedication and performance, highlighting the importance of sports in building character and camaraderie.
The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, which was conducted by Sr. Yvette, the Principal of our School. Shastri House was crowned as tournament winners, while Pratap House received appreciation for their commendable efforts. The final inter-house football match left an indelible mark on the participants and spectators, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship at St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School.

INTERHOUSE WINNER OF THE SESSION 2024-25 (17/02/2025)
The interhouse competition is one of the most exciting events in school, fostering team work, leadership and a competitive spirit among students. The announcement of the Interhouse winner is a proud moment that recognizes the dedication and hard work of students from different house throughout the year.
The interhouse winner of session 2024-25 was declared in assembly on 17 February 2025. Principal, Sr. Yvette awarded the winner house, runner up house. A rolling trophy for cricket was introduced this year. The winner house was Shastri house, the runner up houses were Nehru and Tilak house. The tag board winner house was Gandhi house.
The interhouse winner was determined by awarding points for various competitions held throughout the year such as debates, quizzes, sports, cultural competitions etc.
At last Sr. Principal congratulated the winner houses and motivated the students that winning is a moment of pride but the true essence of the competition lies in participation, teamwork and learning.

NATIONAL KICKBOXING CHAMPIONSHIP
Amish Sivadas, a talented and dedicated athlete, has made our school, St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, proud by winning a Gold and a Bronze medal at the National Kickboxing Championship held in Goa from 19th January to 22nd January 2025. His hard work, discipline, and perseverance have earned him this prestigious achievement.
Under the expert guidance of Deepak Verma, an International Martial Arts Coach, Amish has honed his skills and showcased exceptional performance in the championship. His training and dedication have set a remarkable example for aspiring athletes.
In a grand felicitation ceremony, Shri Avinash Gehlot, Cabinet Minister of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, honored Amish with a garland, recognizing his outstanding contribution to sports. The event at St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School was a moment of pride for the school, coaches, and supporters.

We are proud to announce that siblings from St. Mary’s Convent School, Jagatpura, Jaipur brought laurels to school in Archery competitions held in Rajasthan.
Atharva Sharma from VI-C and Nirghara Sharma from IV-C were awarded Gold medals in 68th State Archery Championship held at Kekri, Rajasthan in Under 1450 m and 25 m category compound events. The duo showcased fine display of incredible skills, dedication and precision in the events. Atharva Sharma bagged fifth rank and got qualified for National Archery Championship under 14 to be held at Vijaywada, A. P. from 20 – 30 March 2025. The school wishes him good luck and hope to bring accolades. Daksh Choudhary of IX-C also proved to be a promising archer in District and State level championship.
CHANDIGARH-AMRITSAR EDUCATIONAL TRIP: A Journey of Learning & Exploration (27 to 31-12-2024)
From December 27 to December 31, an enthusiastic group of 68 students from Grade 9, accompanied by our respected Principal Sr. M. Yvette and four teachers, embarked on an educational trip to Chandigarh and Amritsar. The journey was a perfect blend of history, culture, patriotism, and fun, making it a truly enriching experience for everyone.
Exploring Chandigarh: The City Beautiful
Our trip began in Chandigarh, a city known for its well-planned architecture and greenery. One of the highlights was our visit to the Nek Chand Rock Garden, an incredible masterpiece created from industrial and household waste. The creativity and innovation behind this unique garden left us amazed and inspired.
Immersing in History & Patriotism in Amritsar
Next, we travelled to Amritsar, the heart of Punjab and a city steeped in history and spirituality. Our first stop was the Golden Temple, where we were mesmerized by the divine beauty and serenity of this sacred place. The peaceful atmosphere.
We then visited Jallianwala Bagh, a place that stands as a testament to India’s struggle for Independence. The students were deeply moved by the historical significance of the site, learning about the sacrifices made during the tragic massacre.
A visit to the Partition Museum further enhanced our understanding of India’s history. The museum’s exhibits, stories, and artifacts provided a profound insight into the impact of the partition, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation of our nation’s past.
A Thrilling Experience at Attari/Wagah Border
One of the most exciting moments of our trip was witnessing the Attari/Wagah Border ceremony, a spectacular display of patriotism and discipline by the Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers. The students were thrilled to take photos with the BSF soldiers, capturing memories that they will cherish forever. The electrifying energy, loud cheers of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and the proud display of the Indian flag made this visit truly unforgettable.
Shopping, Food & Fun
Apart from sightseeing, students indulged in shopping, picking up souvenirs, traditional Punjabi juttis, phulkari dupattas, and delicious Amritsari papad and wadiyan.
Throughout our stay, we relished delicious Punjabi cuisine, enjoying the flavors of authentic dishes like Amritsari kulcha, chole bhature, lassi, and makki di roti with sarson da saag. Our comfortable stay in a 3-star hotel added to the overall delightful experience.

JAISALMER TRIP: A Memorable Experience (25 to 28-11-2024)
From November 25 to November 28, a group of 32 enthusiastic children of classes 11 & 12 accompanied by our respected Principal Sr. M. Yvette and three teachers, embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Golden City
Jaisalmer. The trip was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and fun, leaving us with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Exploring the Golden City
Our journey began with excitement as we reached Jaisalmer, known for its stunning sandstone architecture and desert landscapes. We checked into a comfortable 3-Star hotel, where we relished delicious meals that added to our experience.
One of the major highlights was our visit to the majestic sand dunes, where we experienced the thrill of a jeep and camel safari. Riding through the golden sands, witnessing the mesmerizing sunset, and soaking in the beauty of the desert was an experience beyond words.
Cultural & Historical Exploration:
We explored the grand Patwon Ki Haveli, a stunning architectural marvel that gave us a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the past. The intricately carved windows and balconies left us awestruck.
A visit to the Army Camp was an inspiring moment for everyone. We got to witness the discipline, courage, and dedication of our armed forces, which filled us with immense pride and respect for our soldiers.
Shopping & Culinary Delights:
No trip to Jaisalmer is complete without indulging in some shopping! We wandered through vibrant local markets, picking up souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional Rajasthani attire. The students were thrilled to experience the colorful charm of Jaisalmer’s bazaars.
Apart from sightseeing, we enjoyed delicious Rajasthani cuisine, savoring local delicacies that added a flavorful touch to our journey.

As we returned home, the laughter, excitement, and joy of the journey remained with us. This trip to Jaisalmer was truly an enriching experience, leaving us with stories to tell and memories to treasure forever.
BAL MELA (UTSAV)
On the occasion of Children’s Day, a vibrant and joyous Bal Mela was organized to celebrate and bring smiles to the faces of children. The event featured a variety of exciting activities, including game stalls, delicious food, swings and a lively cultural program.
The game stalls offered fun activities such as make the tail, break the pyramid, treasure hunt, try your luck, coin in the bucket, lucky dip, keeping children entertained throughout the day.
Delicious eatables were available at the food stalls, offering a wide range of treats like Ice-Cream, Kulfi, Pastry, Pizza, Burger, Momos, Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Chowmein, Spring Roll, Pani Puri and Honey Chilli Potato which were loved by the children.
The fairground also had thrilling swings and rides, including a Giant Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Columbus and Break Dance providing excitement for everyone.
The event was made even more special with music and dance stall.
Children enjoyed and performed on various dances and songs, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere.
Overall, the Bal Mela was a huge success, offering a day full of fun, food and entertainment for the children. It was a perfect way to celebrate Children’s Day, emphasizing the importance of joy, learning and togetherness.
SKATE AND CONQUER
It’s a moment of pride and gratification for SMA family as ‘Aujasvi Dhawaniya’ of class IV-D proved her outstanding display of skill and enthusiasm in skating competition organised by CBSE in cluster West Zone, where she grabbed gold medal and was selected for National.
The skilled skater showcased her skill in District Level Tournament organized by RSFI where she bagged gold medal and was qualified to State Level again bagging gold medal and heading towards Nationals.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The official investiture ceremony of the newly elected student cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 25 April 2024. The ceremony began with the rhythmic beats of school band who escorted our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette, Sisters and the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by prayer service, invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by hoisting of school flag. All the elected council members took a solemn oath, pledging their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, as well as to the betterment of the school and its students. Each student council member, was presented with a badge of office symbolizing their authority and representing their respective positions within the school. The members of all the six houses namely – Gandhi, Nehru, Pratap, Shastri, Tilak and Kalam also took pledge to remain faithful to their duties and responsibilities in school.
Our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette congratulated all the office bearers and advised them to be true leaders for the growth of the school country and the world at large. The ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by our Head girl – Samiksha Sharma followed by National Anthem.

SPORTS MEET held by JECRC UNIVERSITY
From 23.03.2024 to 25.04.2024 JECRC University organized a sports meet, of which our school St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura took part in this auspicious sports event.
As school lays importance not only on academics but also encourages students to take part in various sports events. Thus, under the guidance of our sports teacher Mr. Yogesh Kumar. The teams were formed for cricket and football matches. We are excited to state that our school cricket team secured the second position where the students were awarded with the medals and certificate along with the cash amount and a trophy. Also our football team grabbed the third position where the players were given the medals and certificates.
Our students’ exceptional performances in this sports meet was commendable. The collective efforts of our students contributed to our overall success.

THE HINDU YOUNG WORLD QUIZ COMPETITION (19th January, 2024)

The Lamp of Enlightenment ignited within each of our students blazed brighter in the 22nd The Hindu Young World Quiz Competition held on Friday, 19th January, 2024 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur. It was conducted in association with SBI.
Hosted by the quizmaster V.V. Ramanan, the live quiz contest saw spirited competition among over 260 teams from 32 schools. 22 participants as 11 teams qualified for the contest from our school. We are proud to say that our duo of Virat Tripathi and Reyansh Arora from class 6th bagged the fifth position in the Junior category.
The competition was presided over by Vineet Kumar, DGM and Ramesh Ram Tak, AGM (Marketing and Communication) from the SBI, Jaipur local head office along with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram principal Preeti Sangwan and The Hindu Group’s GM Sunil Mirza.
The winners from our school were awarded with medals, trophies and certificates along with cash prize of ₹1000. All the participants were also given certificates.
All in all, it was an informative experience for all our students and a unique way of creating interest and love for reading books to gain knowledge.
NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK (12/01/2024 TO 20/01/2024)
To enlighten and empower the young minds of today’s generation The National Youth Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in the premises of the esteemed institution of St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura, Jaipur.
A special assembly was organized on 19th January 2024 which comprised of motivational thoughts, poems, importance of self-control, meditation and Nukkad Natak.
The three main topics of Nukkad Natak were
- Reckless Driving
- Mobile Addiction
- Use of foul language
The Nukkad Natak emphasized on self-control and determination to say no to the vices of life or to get involved in any negative or unconstructive activity.
It reflected on the saying “Simple Living High Thinking”.
When the young minds are alert aware or conscious of their thoughts, vision and acts they can contribute their best of efforts to take their mother land “India” to its new glory.
NCC CAMP
NCC unit conducted CATC-II at IIRM campus Phagi from 3 January 2024 to 12 January 2024, in which 15 schools-colleges including St. Mary’s participated in the camp. GP Captain-Camp Commandant Somnath Mitra presented trophies and medals to the students of St. Mary’s Convent Sr.Sec. School Jagatpura for becoming runners-up in Kho-Kho and tug of war. St. Mary’s students won silver or bronze medals in the 200m JW race. Principal Sister Yvette congratulated all the students who participated in the camp.
NATIONAL WINNER (VEER GATHA EDITION 3.0)
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honor the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted Forces, and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day
To disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave, CBSE along with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education wanted the school students to be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.
The MoD in coordination with MoE had decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0, where they conducted a competition among the students in various categories like “Poem, Paragraph Writing, Painting, Multimedia Presentation”
We are proud to announce that one of our students AYMAAN KHAN of class VI is one of the National Level winners (SUPER 100) under the category “Painting” and has been invited to the Republic Day Celebration in Delhi. Also, he will be awarded a cash prize by the Ministry of Defence.

Salad Making Activity (2nd December, 2023)
The objective of the activity was to inculcate healthy eating habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the students. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth-watering fruits and vegetables.
The students displayed different types of vegetable and fruit salads prepared from commonly available ingredients very creatively. They participated with immense enthusiasm and interest. They were free to choose their themes, and they came up with some brilliant displays.
Picnic Pre-School Babies and Toddlers (24th November, 2023)
A School picnic is a break from work for both students and teachers. In addition to improving children’s mental health it is also beneficial for their physical health.
On the day of the school picnic (Pre-primary), we all arrived at school on time. After attending the school prayer, we all walked to the school playground for the picnic spot. Students played Passing the Ball, Chuk-Chuk train, Engine Boggie games etc.

Inspired by P.M. Modi’s appeal and our Principal Sr. Yvette’s motivation the students and the staff took up the task of cleaning not only the school campus but also the vicinity of the school. The Principal personally monitored the whole task and made sure that we gave real tribute to father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Also, the students and staff were told by the Principal that this should not be restricted to a day but it should be a regular activity.

Educational Visit to Geological Survey of India (Western Region)
On the occasion of the 175th Foundation Day on March 4, 2025, St. Mary Convent Senior Secondary School had the privilege of visiting the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Western Region. A group of 44 students from Classes 9 and 11, accompanied by five teacher escorts – Mr. Anil Sharma, Mr. Mukesh Dharamdasani, Mr. Bibin Abraham, Mrs. Alphonsa Sonu, and Mrs. Neetika Gehlot embarked on this educational excursion.
We arrived at the venue at 10:00 AM, where we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Satya Pal, a Geo-Scientist. The visit began with an interactive tour of the GSI Museum, where expert geoscientists introduced the students to a fascinating collection of geological specimens. They explained various geological phenomena and aspects of Earth science, sparking curiosity among the students. The interactive session also included a question-and-answer round, where students eagerly participated and engaged in insightful discussions.
Following the museum visit, we proceeded to the GSI auditorium, where refreshments were provided, and an exciting quiz competition on Geology and Earth Science was organized. Our students enthusiastically took part in the competition, showcasing their knowledge and winning prizes.
Later, we were taken outdoors for a live demonstration of geological instruments used in mining and exploration. The students were particularly intrigued by the technology and processes involved in extracting metal ores from the Earth. The experts patiently addressed their queries, making the session highly informative and engaging.
One of the most remarkable parts of the visit was the tour of GSI’s prized Rock Garden, where students learned about the diverse rock formations found across Rajasthan. The geoscientists also highlighted the importance of geology as a career, explaining the various educational pathways and opportunities in this dynamic field.
The visit concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ridhi and Shambhavi (Class XI Science), expressing gratitude to the GSI team for their valuable time and knowledge. The trip was not just an academic experience but also an inspiration for students to explore the world of geosciences.

PICNIC DAY IN SCHOOL (19/02/2025)
School picnic day is a vibrant and exciting event when students get to break free from the classroom routine spending the day outdoors with friends and teachers filled with laughter, games and delicious food.
Teachers and classmates creating lasting memories together. Our school organised picnic for Classes Nursery to H. K. G on 19th February. Our school allowed students and teachers to enjoy a day of fun activities ,games, food and relaxation within the familiar School environment .We enjoyed music ,dancing ,outdoor games ,funny kids movies and shared meals all while staying on School property.
Picnic play a pivotal role in the personal development of students outside the classrooms four walls, they learn to be more independent, develop leadership skills, social bonding and team work. We all created many positive memories together.
Inter-House Final Football Match: Shastri House vs. Pratap House (18/02/2025)
St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School witnessed an exhilarating final inter-house football match on February 18, 2025, where the teams of Shastri House and Pratap House clashed on the field in a fierce battle for victory. The event, held under the guidance of Coach Deepak Verma, was filled with enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship.
The match kicked off with both teams displaying remarkable coordination and skill. Shastri House took an early lead when Pratap House conceded an unfortunate own goal, putting Shastri House ahead. Despite the setback, Pratap House fought hard to regain control, but Shastri House maintained strong defense and counter-attacks. The first half ended with Shastri House leading 1-0.
As the second half began, Pratap House intensified their efforts, showing exceptional teamwork and strategy. Their perseverance paid off when Shresth Pushkarna scored a spectacular goal, extending Shastri House’s lead to 2-0. The competition grew more intense as Pratap House made several attempts to break through, but Shastri House’s solid defense held firm.
With the final whistle, Shastri House secured a well-earned 2-0 victory, emerging as the champions of the tournament. The crowd erupted in cheers as the players rejoiced in their hard-earned win.

The interhouse competition is one of the most exciting events in school, fostering team work, leadership and a competitive spirit among students. The announcement of the Interhouse winner is a proud moment that recognizes the dedication and hard work of students from different house throughout the year.
The interhouse winner of session 2024-25 was declared in assembly on 17 February 2025. Principal, Sr. Yvette awarded the winner house, runner up house. A rolling trophy for cricket was introduced this year. The winner house was Shastri house, the runner up houses were Nehru and Tilak house. The tag board winner house was Gandhi house.
The interhouse winner was determined by awarding points for various competitions held throughout the year such as debates, quizzes, sports, cultural competitions etc.
At last Sr. Principal congratulated the winner houses and motivated the students that winning is a moment of pride but the true essence of the competition lies in participation, teamwork and learning.

Amish Sivadas, a talented and dedicated athlete, has made our school, St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, proud by winning a Gold and a Bronze medal at the National Kickboxing Championship held in Goa from 19th January to 22nd January 2025. His hard work, discipline, and perseverance have earned him this prestigious achievement.
Under the expert guidance of Deepak Verma, an International Martial Arts Coach, Amish has honed his skills and showcased exceptional performance in the championship. His training and dedication have set a remarkable example for aspiring athletes.

We are proud to announce that siblings from St. Mary’s Convent School, Jagatpura, Jaipur brought laurels to school in Archery competitions held in Rajasthan.
Atharva Sharma from VI-C and Nirghara Sharma from IV-C were awarded Gold medals in 68th State Archery Championship held at Kekri, Rajasthan in Under 1450 m and 25 m category compound events. The duo showcased fine display of incredible skills, dedication and precision in the events. Atharva Sharma bagged fifth rank and got qualified for National Archery Championship under 14 to be held at Vijaywada, A. P. from 20 – 30 March 2025. The school wishes him good luck and hope to bring accolades. Daksh Choudhary of IX-C also proved to be a promising archer in District and State level championship.
CHANDIGARH-AMRITSAR EDUCATIONAL TRIP: A Journey of Learning & Exploration (27 to 31-12-2024)
From December 27 to December 31, an enthusiastic group of 68 students from Grade 9, accompanied by our respected Principal Sr. M. Yvette and four teachers, embarked on an educational trip to Chandigarh and Amritsar. The journey was a perfect blend of history, culture, patriotism, and fun, making it a truly enriching experience for everyone.
Exploring Chandigarh: The City Beautiful
Our trip began in Chandigarh, a city known for its well-planned architecture and greenery. One of the highlights was our visit to the Nek Chand Rock Garden, an incredible masterpiece created from industrial and household waste. The creativity and innovation behind this unique garden left us amazed and inspired.
Immersing in History & Patriotism in Amritsar
Next, we travelled to Amritsar, the heart of Punjab and a city steeped in history and spirituality. Our first stop was the Golden Temple, where we were mesmerized by the divine beauty and serenity of this sacred place. The peaceful atmosphere.
We then visited Jallianwala Bagh, a place that stands as a testament to India’s struggle for Independence. The students were deeply moved by the historical significance of the site, learning about the sacrifices made during the tragic massacre.
A visit to the Partition Museum further enhanced our understanding of India’s history. The museum’s exhibits, stories, and artifacts provided a profound insight into the impact of the partition, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation of our nation’s past.
A Thrilling Experience at Attari/Wagah Border
One of the most exciting moments of our trip was witnessing the Attari/Wagah Border ceremony, a spectacular display of patriotism and discipline by the Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers. The students were thrilled to take photos with the BSF soldiers, capturing memories that they will cherish forever. The electrifying energy, loud cheers of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and the proud display of the Indian flag made this visit truly unforgettable.

Apart from sightseeing, students indulged in shopping, picking up souvenirs, traditional Punjabi juttis, phulkari dupattas, and delicious Amritsari papad and wadiyan.
Throughout our stay, we relished delicious Punjabi cuisine, enjoying the flavors of authentic dishes like Amritsari kulcha, chole bhature, lassi, and makki di roti with sarson da saag. Our comfortable stay in a 3-star hotel added to the overall delightful experience.

From November 25 to November 28, a group of 32 enthusiastic children of classes 11 & 12 accompanied by our respected Principal Sr. M. Yvette and three teachers, embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Golden City
Jaisalmer. The trip was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and fun, leaving us with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Exploring the Golden City
Our journey began with excitement as we reached Jaisalmer, known for its stunning sandstone architecture and desert landscapes. We checked into a comfortable 3-Star hotel, where we relished delicious meals that added to our experience.
One of the major highlights was our visit to the majestic sand dunes, where we experienced the thrill of a jeep and camel safari. Riding through the golden sands, witnessing the mesmerizing sunset, and soaking in the beauty of the desert was an experience beyond words.
Cultural & Historical Exploration:
We explored the grand Patwon Ki Haveli, a stunning architectural marvel that gave us a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the past. The intricately carved windows and balconies left us awestruck.
A visit to the Army Camp was an inspiring moment for everyone. We got to witness the discipline, courage, and dedication of our armed forces, which filled us with immense pride and respect for our soldiers.

BAL MELA (UTSAV)
On the occasion of Children’s Day, a vibrant and joyous Bal Mela was organized to celebrate and bring smiles to the faces of children. The event featured a variety of exciting activities, including game stalls, delicious food, swings and a lively cultural program.
The game stalls offered fun activities such as make the tail, break the pyramid, treasure hunt, try your luck, coin in the bucket, lucky dip, keeping children entertained throughout the day.
Delicious eatables were available at the food stalls, offering a wide range of treats like Ice-Cream, Kulfi, Pastry, Pizza, Burger, Momos, Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Chowmein, Spring Roll, Pani Puri and Honey Chilli Potato which were loved by the children.
The fairground also had thrilling swings and rides, including a Giant Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Columbus and Break Dance providing excitement for everyone.
The event was made even more special with music and dance stall.
Children enjoyed and performed on various dances and songs, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere.
Overall, the Bal Mela was a huge success, offering a day full of fun, food and entertainment for the children. It was a perfect way to celebrate Children’s Day, emphasizing the importance of joy, learning and togetherness.

It’s a moment of pride and gratification for SMA family as ‘Aujasvi Dhawaniya’ of class IV-D proved her outstanding display of skill and enthusiasm in skating competition organised by CBSE in cluster West Zone, where she grabbed gold medal and was selected for National.
The skilled skater showcased her skill in District Level Tournament organized by RSFI where she bagged gold medal and was qualified to State Level again bagging gold medal and heading towards Nationals.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The official investiture ceremony of the newly elected student cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 25 April 2024. The ceremony began with the rhythmic beats of school band who escorted our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette, Sisters and the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by prayer service, invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by hoisting of school flag. All the elected council members took a solemn oath, pledging their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, as well as to the betterment of the school and its students. Each student council member, was presented with a badge of office symbolizing their authority and representing their respective positions within the school. The members of all the six houses namely – Gandhi, Nehru, Pratap, Shastri, Tilak and Kalam also took pledge to remain faithful to their duties and responsibilities in school.
Our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette congratulated all the office bearers and advised them to be true leaders for the growth of the school country and the world at large. The ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by our Head girl – Samiksha Sharma followed by National Anthem.

SPORTS MEET held by JECRC UNIVERSITY
From 23.03.2024 to 25.04.2024 JECRC University organized a sports meet, of which our school St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura took part in this auspicious sports event.
As school lays importance not only on academics but also encourages students to take part in various sports events. Thus, under the guidance of our sports teacher Mr. Yogesh Kumar. The teams were formed for cricket and football matches. We are excited to state that our school cricket team secured the second position where the students were awarded with the medals and certificate along with the cash amount and a trophy. Also our football team grabbed the third position where the players were given the medals and certificates.
Our students’ exceptional performances in this sports meet was commendable. The collective efforts of our students contributed to our overall success.

The Lamp of Enlightenment ignited within each of our students blazed brighter in the 22nd The Hindu Young World Quiz Competition held on Friday, 19th January, 2024 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur. It was conducted in association with SBI.
Hosted by the quizmaster V.V. Ramanan, the live quiz contest saw spirited competition among over 260 teams from 32 schools. 22 participants as 11 teams qualified for the contest from our school. We are proud to say that our duo of Virat Tripathi and Reyansh Arora from class 6th bagged the fifth position in the Junior category.
The competition was presided over by Vineet Kumar, DGM and Ramesh Ram Tak, AGM (Marketing and Communication) from the SBI, Jaipur local head office along with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram principal Preeti Sangwan and The Hindu Group’s GM Sunil Mirza.
The winners from our school were awarded with medals, trophies and certificates along with cash prize of ₹1000. All the participants were also given certificates.
All in all, it was an informative experience for all our students and a unique way of creating interest and love for reading books to gain knowledge.

To enlighten and empower the young minds of today’s generation The National Youth Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in the premises of the esteemed institution of St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura, Jaipur.
A special assembly was organized on 19th January 2024 which comprised of motivational thoughts, poems, importance of self-control, meditation and Nukkad Natak.
The three main topics of Nukkad Natak were
- Reckless Driving
- Mobile Addiction
- Use of foul language
The Nukkad Natak emphasized on self-control and determination to say no to the vices of life or to get involved in any negative or unconstructive activity.
It reflected on the saying “Simple Living High Thinking”.
When the young minds are alert aware or conscious of their thoughts, vision and acts they can contribute their best of efforts to take their mother land “India” to its new glory.
NCC CAMP
NCC unit conducted CATC-II at IIRM campus Phagi from 3 January 2024 to 12 January 2024, in which 15 schools-colleges including St. Mary’s participated in the camp. GP Captain-Camp Commandant Somnath Mitra presented trophies and medals to the students of St. Mary’s Convent Sr.Sec. School Jagatpura for becoming runners-up in Kho-Kho and tug of war. St. Mary’s students won silver or bronze medals in the 200m JW race. Principal Sister Yvette congratulated all the students who participated in the camp.
NATIONAL WINNER (VEER GATHA EDITION 3.0)
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honor the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted Forces, and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day
To disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave, CBSE along with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education wanted the school students to be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.
The MoD in coordination with MoE had decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0, where they conducted a competition among the students in various categories like “Poem, Paragraph Writing, Painting, Multimedia Presentation”
We are proud to announce that one of our students AYMAAN KHAN of class VI is one of the National Level winners (SUPER 100) under the category “Painting” and has been invited to the Republic Day Celebration in Delhi. Also, he will be awarded a cash prize by the Ministry of Defence.

Salad Making Activity (2nd December, 2023)
The objective of the activity was to inculcate healthy eating habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the students. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth-watering fruits and vegetables.
The students displayed different types of vegetable and fruit salads prepared from commonly available ingredients very creatively. They participated with immense enthusiasm and interest. They were free to choose their themes, and they came up with some brilliant displays.

The match kicked off with both teams displaying remarkable coordination and skill. Shastri House took an early lead when Pratap House conceded an unfortunate own goal, putting Shastri House ahead. Despite the setback, Pratap House fought hard to regain control, but Shastri House maintained strong defense and counter-attacks. The first half ended with Shastri House leading 1-0.
As the second half began, Pratap House intensified their efforts, showing exceptional teamwork and strategy. Their perseverance paid off when Shresth Pushkarna scored a spectacular goal, extending Shastri House’s lead to 2-0. The competition grew more intense as Pratap House made several attempts to break through, but Shastri House’s solid defense held firm.
With the final whistle, Shastri House secured a well-earned 2-0 victory, emerging as the champions of the tournament. The crowd erupted in cheers as the players rejoiced in their hard-earned win.

The interhouse winner of session 2024-25 was declared in assembly on 17 February 2025. Principal, Sr. Yvette awarded the winner house, runner up house. A rolling trophy for cricket was introduced this year. The winner house was Shastri house, the runner up houses were Nehru and Tilak house. The tag board winner house was Gandhi house.

Atharva Sharma from VI-C and Nirghara Sharma from IV-C were awarded Gold medals in 68th State Archery Championship held at Kekri, Rajasthan in Under 1450 m and 25 m category compound events. The duo showcased fine display of incredible skills, dedication and precision in the events. Atharva Sharma bagged fifth rank and got qualified for National Archery Championship under 14 to be held at Vijaywada, A. P. from 20 – 30 March 2025. BAL MELA (UTSAV)
On the occasion of Children’s Day, a vibrant and joyous Bal Mela was organized to celebrate and bring smiles to the faces of children. The event featured a variety of exciting activities, including game stalls, delicious food, swings and a lively cultural program.
The game stalls offered fun activities such as make the tail, break the pyramid, treasure hunt, try your luck, coin in the bucket, lucky dip, keeping children entertained throughout the day.
Delicious eatables were available at the food stalls, offering a wide range of treats like Ice-Cream, Kulfi, Pastry, Pizza, Burger, Momos, Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Chowmein, Spring Roll, Pani Puri and Honey Chilli Potato which were loved by the children.
The fairground also had thrilling swings and rides, including a Giant Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Columbus and Break Dance providing excitement for everyone.
The event was made even more special with music and dance stall.
Children enjoyed and performed on various dances and songs, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere.
Overall, the Bal Mela was a huge success, offering a day full of fun, food and entertainment for the children. It was a perfect way to celebrate Children’s Day, emphasizing the importance of joy, learning and togetherness.

It’s a moment of pride and gratification for SMA family as ‘Aujasvi Dhawaniya’ of class IV-D proved her outstanding display of skill and enthusiasm in skating competition organised by CBSE in cluster West Zone, where she grabbed gold medal and was selected for National.
The skilled skater showcased her skill in District Level Tournament organized by RSFI where she bagged gold medal and was qualified to State Level again bagging gold medal and heading towards Nationals.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The official investiture ceremony of the newly elected student cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 25 April 2024. The ceremony began with the rhythmic beats of school band who escorted our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette, Sisters and the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by prayer service, invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by hoisting of school flag. All the elected council members took a solemn oath, pledging their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, as well as to the betterment of the school and its students. Each student council member, was presented with a badge of office symbolizing their authority and representing their respective positions within the school. The members of all the six houses namely – Gandhi, Nehru, Pratap, Shastri, Tilak and Kalam also took pledge to remain faithful to their duties and responsibilities in school.
Our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette congratulated all the office bearers and advised them to be true leaders for the growth of the school country and the world at large. The ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by our Head girl – Samiksha Sharma followed by National Anthem.

SPORTS MEET held by JECRC UNIVERSITY
From 23.03.2024 to 25.04.2024 JECRC University organized a sports meet, of which our school St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura took part in this auspicious sports event.
As school lays importance not only on academics but also encourages students to take part in various sports events. Thus, under the guidance of our sports teacher Mr. Yogesh Kumar. The teams were formed for cricket and football matches. We are excited to state that our school cricket team secured the second position where the students were awarded with the medals and certificate along with the cash amount and a trophy. Also our football team grabbed the third position where the players were given the medals and certificates.
Our students’ exceptional performances in this sports meet was commendable. The collective efforts of our students contributed to our overall success.

The Lamp of Enlightenment ignited within each of our students blazed brighter in the 22nd The Hindu Young World Quiz Competition held on Friday, 19th January, 2024 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur. It was conducted in association with SBI.
Hosted by the quizmaster V.V. Ramanan, the live quiz contest saw spirited competition among over 260 teams from 32 schools. 22 participants as 11 teams qualified for the contest from our school. We are proud to say that our duo of Virat Tripathi and Reyansh Arora from class 6th bagged the fifth position in the Junior category.
The competition was presided over by Vineet Kumar, DGM and Ramesh Ram Tak, AGM (Marketing and Communication) from the SBI, Jaipur local head office along with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram principal Preeti Sangwan and The Hindu Group’s GM Sunil Mirza.
The winners from our school were awarded with medals, trophies and certificates along with cash prize of ₹1000. All the participants were also given certificates.
All in all, it was an informative experience for all our students and a unique way of creating interest and love for reading books to gain knowledge.

To enlighten and empower the young minds of today’s generation The National Youth Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in the premises of the esteemed institution of St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura, Jaipur.
A special assembly was organized on 19th January 2024 which comprised of motivational thoughts, poems, importance of self-control, meditation and Nukkad Natak.
The three main topics of Nukkad Natak were

- Use of foul language
The Nukkad Natak emphasized on self-control and determination to say no to the vices of life or to get involved in any negative or unconstructive activity.
It reflected on the saying “Simple Living High Thinking”.
When the young minds are alert aware or conscious of their thoughts, vision and acts they can contribute their best of efforts to take their mother land “India” to its new glory.
NCC CAMP
NCC unit conducted CATC-II at IIRM campus Phagi from 3 January 2024 to 12 January 2024, in which 15 schools-colleges including St. Mary’s participated in the camp. GP Captain-Camp Commandant Somnath Mitra presented trophies and medals to the students of St. Mary’s Convent Sr.Sec. School Jagatpura for becoming runners-up in Kho-Kho and tug of war. St. Mary’s students won silver or bronze medals in the 200m JW race. Principal Sister Yvette congratulated all the students who participated in the camp.
NATIONAL WINNER (VEER GATHA EDITION 3.0)
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honor the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted Forces, and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day
To disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave, CBSE along with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education wanted the school students to be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.
The MoD in coordination with MoE had decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0, where they conducted a competition among the students in various categories like “Poem, Paragraph Writing, Painting, Multimedia Presentation”
We are proud to announce that one of our students AYMAAN KHAN of class VI is one of the National Level winners (SUPER 100) under the category “Painting” and has been invited to the Republic Day Celebration in Delhi. Also, he will be awarded a cash prize by the Ministry of Defence.

Salad Making Activity (2nd December, 2023)
The objective of the activity was to inculcate healthy eating habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the students. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth-watering fruits and vegetables.
The students displayed different types of vegetable and fruit salads prepared from commonly available ingredients very creatively. They participated with immense enthusiasm and interest. They were free to choose their themes, and they came up with some brilliant displays.
Picnic Pre-School Babies and Toddlers (24th November, 2023)
A School picnic is a break from work for both students and teachers. In addition to improving children’s mental health it is also beneficial for their physical health.
On the day of the school picnic (Pre-primary), we all arrived at school on time. After attending the school prayer, we all walked to the school playground for the picnic spot. Students played Passing the Ball, Chuk-Chuk train, Engine Boggie games etc.
After a few hours of fun, we all had our lunch, students shared their lunch with their friends and teachers. After enjoying lunch with everyone. All the students and teachers danced together. At the end of the picnic our P.T. sir made all the students play few games. This way our picnic went joyfully and happily. The memories of this day will always keep a cozy corner in our heart.

Inspired by P.M. Modi’s appeal and our Principal Sr. Yvette’s motivation the students and the staff took up the task of cleaning not only the school campus but also the vicinity of the school. No trip to Jaisalmer is complete without indulging in some shopping! We wandered through vibrant local markets, picking up souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional Rajasthani attire. The students were thrilled to experience the colorful charm of Jaisalmer’s bazaars.
Apart from sightseeing, we enjoyed delicious Rajasthani cuisine, savoring local delicacies that added a flavorful touch to our journey.
A Journey to Remember
The trip was not just about visiting places; it was about learning, bonding, and creating unforgettable moments. From the thrill of desert adventures to the beauty of historical landmarks, every experience made the trip special.
As we returned home, the laughter, excitement, and joy of the journey remained with us. This trip to Jaisalmer was truly an enriching experience, leaving us with stories to tell and memories to treasure forever.
BAL MELA (UTSAV)
On the occasion of Children’s Day, a vibrant and joyous Bal Mela was organized to celebrate and bring smiles to the faces of children. The event featured a variety of exciting activities, including game stalls, delicious food, swings and a lively cultural program.
The game stalls offered fun activities such as make the tail, break the pyramid, treasure hunt, try your luck, coin in the bucket, lucky dip, keeping children entertained throughout the day.
Delicious eatables were available at the food stalls, offering a wide range of treats like Ice-Cream, Kulfi, Pastry, Pizza, Burger, Momos, Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Chowmein, Spring Roll, Pani Puri and Honey Chilli Potato which were loved by the children.
The fairground also had thrilling swings and rides, including a Giant Wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Columbus and Break Dance providing excitement for everyone.
The event was made even more special with music and dance stall.
Children enjoyed and performed on various dances and songs, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere.
Overall, the Bal Mela was a huge success, offering a day full of fun, food and entertainment for the children. It was a perfect way to celebrate Children’s Day, emphasizing the importance of joy, learning and togetherness.
SKATE AND CONQUER
It’s a moment of pride and gratification for SMA family as ‘Aujasvi Dhawaniya’ of class IV-D proved her outstanding display of skill and enthusiasm in skating competition organised by CBSE in cluster West Zone, where she grabbed gold medal and was selected for National.
The skilled skater showcased her skill in District Level Tournament organized by RSFI where she bagged gold medal and was qualified to State Level again bagging gold medal and heading towards Nationals.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The official investiture ceremony of the newly elected student cabinet for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 25 April 2024. The ceremony began with the rhythmic beats of school band who escorted our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette, Sisters and the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by prayer service, invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by hoisting of school flag. All the elected council members took a solemn oath, pledging their commitment to their roles and responsibilities, as well as to the betterment of the school and its students. Each student council member, was presented with a badge of office symbolizing their authority and representing their respective positions within the school. The members of all the six houses namely – Gandhi, Nehru, Pratap, Shastri, Tilak and Kalam also took pledge to remain faithful to their duties and responsibilities in school.
Our Principal Rev. Sr. Yvette congratulated all the office bearers and advised them to be true leaders for the growth of the school country and the world at large. The ceremony came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by our Head girl – Samiksha Sharma followed by National Anthem.

SPORTS MEET held by JECRC UNIVERSITY
From 23.03.2024 to 25.04.2024 JECRC University organized a sports meet, of which our school St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura took part in this auspicious sports event.
As school lays importance not only on academics but also encourages students to take part in various sports events. Thus, under the guidance of our sports teacher Mr. Yogesh Kumar. The teams were formed for cricket and football matches. We are excited to state that our school cricket team secured the second position where the students were awarded with the medals and certificate along with the cash amount and a trophy. Also our football team grabbed the third position where the players were given the medals and certificates.
Our students’ exceptional performances in this sports meet was commendable. The collective efforts of our students contributed to our overall success.

THE HINDU YOUNG WORLD QUIZ COMPETITION (19th January, 2024)
“The real victory in a quiz competition is not in winning but in gaining knowledge.”
The Lamp of Enlightenment ignited within each of our students blazed brighter in the 22nd The Hindu Young World Quiz Competition held on Friday, 19th January, 2024 in Maharana Pratap Auditorium of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur. It was conducted in association with SBI.
Hosted by the quizmaster V.V. Ramanan, the live quiz contest saw spirited competition among over 260 teams from 32 schools. 22 participants as 11 teams qualified for the contest from our school. We are proud to say that our duo of Virat Tripathi and Reyansh Arora from class 6th bagged the fifth position in the Junior category.
The competition was presided over by Vineet Kumar, DGM and Ramesh Ram Tak, AGM (Marketing and Communication) from the SBI, Jaipur local head office along with Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram principal Preeti Sangwan and The Hindu Group’s GM Sunil Mirza.
The winners from our school were awarded with medals, trophies and certificates along with cash prize of ₹1000. All the participants were also given certificates.
All in all, it was an informative experience for all our students and a unique way of creating interest and love for reading books to gain knowledge.
NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK (12/01/2024 TO 20/01/2024)
To enlighten and empower the young minds of today’s generation The National Youth Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in the premises of the esteemed institution of St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura, Jaipur.
A special assembly was organized on 19th January 2024 which comprised of motivational thoughts, poems, importance of self-control, meditation and Nukkad Natak.
The three main topics of Nukkad Natak were
- Reckless Driving
- Mobile Addiction
- Use of foul language
The Nukkad Natak emphasized on self-control and determination to say no to the vices of life or to get involved in any negative or unconstructive activity.
It reflected on the saying “Simple Living High Thinking”.
When the young minds are alert aware or conscious of their thoughts, vision and acts they can contribute their best of efforts to take their mother land “India” to its new glory.
NCC CAMP
NCC unit conducted CATC-II at IIRM campus Phagi from 3 January 2024 to 12 January 2024, in which 15 schools-colleges including St. Mary’s participated in the camp. GP Captain-Camp Commandant Somnath Mitra presented trophies and medals to the students of St. Mary’s Convent Sr.Sec. School Jagatpura for becoming runners-up in Kho-Kho and tug of war. St. Mary’s students won silver or bronze medals in the 200m JW race. Principal Sister Yvette congratulated all the students who participated in the camp.
NATIONAL WINNER (VEER GATHA EDITION 3.0)
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honor the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully constituted Forces, and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day
To disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave, CBSE along with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education wanted the school students to be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.
The MoD in coordination with MoE had decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0, where they conducted a competition among the students in various categories like “Poem, Paragraph Writing, Painting, Multimedia Presentation”
We are proud to announce that one of our students AYMAAN KHAN of class VI is one of the National Level winners (SUPER 100) under the category “Painting” and has been invited to the Republic Day Celebration in Delhi. Also, he will be awarded a cash prize by the Ministry of Defence.

Salad Making Activity (2nd December, 2023)
The objective of the activity was to inculcate healthy eating habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the students. The participants’ creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouth-watering fruits and vegetables.
The students displayed different types of vegetable and fruit salads prepared from commonly available ingredients very creatively. They participated with immense enthusiasm and interest. They were free to choose their themes, and they came up with some brilliant displays.
Picnic Pre-School Babies and Toddlers (24th November, 2023)
A School picnic is a break from work for both students and teachers. In addition to improving children’s mental health it is also beneficial for their physical health.
On the day of the school picnic (Pre-primary), we all arrived at school on time. After attending the school prayer, we all walked to the school playground for the picnic spot. Students played Passing the Ball, Chuk-Chuk train, Engine Boggie games etc.
After a few hours of fun, we all had our lunch, students shared their lunch with their friends and teachers. After enjoying lunch with everyone. All the students and teachers danced together. At the end of the picnic our P.T. sir made all the students play few games. This way our picnic went joyfully and happily. The memories of this day will always keep a cozy corner in our heart.
Cleanliness Drive at St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Jagatpura (2nd October, 2023)
Inspired by P.M. Modi’s appeal and our Principal Sr. Yvette’s motivation the students and the staff took up the task of cleaning not only the school campus but also the vicinity of the school. The Principal personally monitored the whole task and made sure that we gave real tribute to father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Also, the students and staff were told by the Principal that this should not be restricted to a day but it should be a regular activity.
